The BMW EnduroGuard 2-in-1 Gloves Review

BMW EnduroGuard 2-in-1 Gloves – Six Years, All Weathers, No Nonsense

Let’s be clear right from the start: there’s no fanboy fluff here. I paid for these gloves, wore them in everything from sideways rain to heatwaves (well, almost), and I’m here to give it to you straight.

After six years on the road with the BMW EnduroGuard 2-in-1 Gloves and the BMW EnduroGuard Suite, I’ve clocked enough miles to say whether they’re worth the hype. Spoiler: they kind of are.
We’ve travelled together through Morocco, Turkey, and every corner of Europe. Crossed the Sahara, battled the high Andes in winter, and carved our way through Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, and Peru. These gloves have seen more of the world than most people’s passports—and they’re still going strong.

Why These Gloves?

Simple—I was tired of carrying two sets of gloves on every trip. One lightweight summer pair, one waterproof Gore-Tex set. That routine gets old quick when you’re living off a bike.

I picked these up at the BMW dealership in Chester. Full retail. No discounts. No freebies. And to be honest, I was sceptical. The idea of one glove doing it all seemed a little too optimistic. But I was wrong.

The Summer Surprise

Looking at the BMW EnduroGuard 2-in-1 Gloves, you’d never peg it as a summer glove. It’s chunky. Padded. Serious. Not exactly breezy beachwear.

But then you slip into the GRIP compartment—kangaroo leather, perforated, unlined—and suddenly you’re getting airflow. Real airflow. Even on warm days, these things breathe. Somehow, BMW pulled it off.

Your brain doesn’t want to believe it. Big glove = sweaty hands, right? But it works. You get airflow and protection in the same breath.

Just don’t expect miracles in torrential rain. This part of the glove isn’t waterproof, but it dries quickly and gives you all-day comfort when you’re just clocking up miles.

Flip the Chamber – Enter the “PROOF” Mode

Rain? Cold? Slide into the upper chamber.

Here, BMW’s GORE-TEX membrane does the heavy lifting—waterproof, windproof, breathable. The inner lining is soft, insulating, and surprisingly pleasant even when your hands are wet and cold.

It’s the kind of comfort that makes you forget you’re soaked. Not something I’d say often.

The Details That Matter

The rest of the glove? Full of smart details:

  • Touchscreen material on the index finger and thumb
  • Visor wiper on the left index
  • Elasticated wrist seal to keep out the elements
  • Velcro strap for full lockdown

Add in all the abrasion-resistant materials—cowhide, Schoeller-dynatec, aerospace-grade knuckle and palm protection—and you’ve got a glove ready for just about anything.

These gloves are going everywhere.
Performance on Tour

These gloves have been with me through full-blown Irish downpours and chilly highland mornings.

When they feel damp inside, it’s usually me, not the glove. Putting on wet gloves after fuelling or stops brings in moisture, but the glove itself? Solid.

They’re not invincible, but they’re far more versatile than they look.

Final Word – A Proper All-Rounder

The BMW EnduroGuard 2-in-1 Gloves aren’t cheap. But if you want to cut your glove count in half and still be ready for anything from summer scorchers to autumn sleet—they’re a strong contender.

They’re not perfect, but damn close. And for me, they’ve earned a permanent spot in the pannier.

All-day comfort, dual-purpose practicality, and proper protection. That’ll do.
