Welcome to MOTOTravel, my very personal page dedicated to the world of motorbike travel.
I have a strong passion for MOTOTRAVEL, which was cultivated during my upbringing in the Bavarian mountains, where I was immersed in the excitement of the great outdoors from a young age.
My enthusiasm for all things outdoors has been a lifelong trait. During my childhood, I even broke my leg while skiing with my father. However, that setback did not deter me from pursuing my love for winter activities such as skiing and ice hockey, as well as summer adventures like dirt biking and touring. My formative years spent in the midst of nature have deeply shaped my identity, and boredom was a foreign concept to me.
Residing in a country steeped in motorbike culture, I swiftly advanced from 50-cc mopeds to my beloved 500-cc Yamaha XT. This remarkable bike opened up avenues for me to explore the entirety of Europe, from Germany to Greece and even as far south as Morocco, traversing through countries such as France, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, and the former Yugoslavia. Those youthful years spent on the road were among the most cherished times of my life.
In those days, travel wasn't about rigid itineraries or extravagant spending. It was about embracing the thrill of exploration, immersing myself in new experiences with friends, sharing whatever little I possessed, and ensuring that no one was left behind. A sunny Saturday afternoon might find me spontaneously heading to Italy for pizza, supplementing my journeys with delightful discoveries along the way.
Times may have evolved, but my love for travel remains unwavering. While embarking on a four-week journey with just a sleeping bag might not be as straightforward nowadays, the adventurous spirit within me still burns brightly. MOTOTravel is the culmination of years of experience and an unrelenting passion for discovering new places and connecting with individuals from diverse cultures.
Whether you are an experienced motorbike traveler or someone considering entering this world, I extend a warm invitation to join me on a voyage through some of the most breathtaking routes. Together, we can explore my experiences, gain valuable insights, and relish the camaraderie of the road.
So, pack your bags, strap on your helmet, and let's hit the road with MOTOTravel!
